How do I use the app? How do I view my shifts? How do I claim shifts?

Hi and welcome to our article all about our scheduling platform. 

Once we have all your documents the next stage is setting you up on the scheduling App.

Overview

Our scheduling app allows workers to accept shifts, see upcoming shifts, book unavailability (other jobs or annual leave) and is used for Geo-tagging time sheets. 

For employees, starting and ending your shift is a fundamental part of our tech, as it is how time is tracked, and how employees get paid!

The app will also have all the information on the work site as well as local guideline documents. 


Setup & App overview

This is the main app screen


Whats covered here:

  1. Set up Personal Details: Your emergency contact details and name, dob, mobile and home address. 

  2. Your availability (adding unavilability to your profile)- We need you to enter what days you can't work onto the system. This will be your unavailability. We then need you to enter holiday/annual leave dates. Please update these regularly.

  3. How to select and see shifts

  4. Location information - viewing shift information and site information.

  5. Desktop Browser: Please test the scheduling software on a computer browser. This has a handy monthly view function to help you plan in advance. 


Availability (Actually Unavailability!)

This is really important that you block out when you cant work either individual days or reocurring days.

Doing this part of set up will lead to less mistakes i.e. taking a shift when you can't actually work.

Blocking time off also means you only get shift alerts (offers to work) when you are free to work so you only get relevant emails.

Here is an example from the desktop login, simply click reocurring and enter the days you can't work.

Available shifts

Please click on the available shifts to claim work


Shift information

Please click on location settings to view site details e.g Parking and door codes, computer systems etc. 

Once the App is setup you will use this every shift to;

  • log in for start times, 

  • break and 

  • finish times, as well as access to worksite information and essential documents.

For employees, starting and ending your shift is a fundamental part of our tech, as it is how time is tracked, and how employees get paid!
